How to Fix a Domain That Shows the Wrong Website
Troubleshoot a domain that points to the wrong server or loads unexpected content.
If your domain shows the wrong website, check DNS and hosting configuration in order. First, confirm where the domain nameservers point. If the nameservers are wrong, update them at the domain registrar. If the nameservers are correct, check the A record for the main domain and the CNAME or A record for www. Make sure they point to the correct hosting service. Next, check that the destination hosting account has the domain added and that the correct website files are in place. DNS may point correctly, but the server can still show the wrong site if the domain is not configured on the hosting side. Collect screenshots, DNS values, and the affected URL before contacting support.
