How to Password Protect a Folder in StackCP

Password protection is useful for private folders, test sites, or development areas. Log in to StackCP and open Password Protection or the directory protection tool. Select the domain and folder you want to protect. Enable protection and enter a clear label for the protected area. Create a username and strong password for anyone who needs access. Save the settings, then visit the folder URL in a private browser window to confirm it asks for login details. Keep the username and password secure, and remove access when it is no longer required. This is helpful for basic privacy, but it should not be the only protection for sensitive customer data.
