How to Restore Files from a Backup in cPanel
Restore website files from a previous backup without replacing the wrong folder.
Restoring files should be done carefully because replacing the wrong files can break your website. First, log in to cPanel and check whether your hosting account has Backup, Backup Wizard, or a provider backup tool. If you have a file backup on your computer, open File Manager and go to the correct website folder, usually public_html. Rename the current folder or file before replacing it, so you have a fallback copy. Upload the backup file, extract it if it is compressed, and check the folder structure before moving files into place. After restoring, test your website and contact support if database restoration is also required.
